About the Park
Nestled in the heart of Tarrytown, Reed Park is where neighbors gather to play, swim, explore the creek, and relax under the oaks. It’s more than a park—it’s our community’s backyard. Reed Park has been serving the Austin community since 1954, when the land was gifted to the City by Mrs. Fagan Dickson. Today, Friends of Reed Park — a 501(c)(3) non-profit — works with Austin Parks and Recreation and the Austin Parks Foundation to ensure this beloved park remains wild, peaceful, and beautiful for every neighbor who calls Tarrytown home.
